Provo MTC Week 1
4 Feb 2026
Hola a todos!
This has been my first week in the Provo MTC and it has been amazing. For those who don't know, the MTC is a place where all missionaries go to learn about the gospel and deepen their knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will be here for 6 weeks to learn Spanish as well. Imma be real, the food here is actually solid and not clapped. I met my companions and district. They are all so amazing and so excited to grow together. In class, my companion Elder Helton likes to giggle and just make stupid faces and I always laugh. He said "man if I were to knock on someone's door, I'd understand if they close the door in my face" and I BURST out laughing. This place brings pure joy and a true understanding of this eternal happiness God wants everyone to feel. The hardest thing for me is missing family and friends. Seeing some of you at BYU before I left was such a special experience, and I am so grateful for you all. Some people don't realize the huge impact they have had on me, so I am so grateful for everyone!!! ALSO MUSIC... wow I spent probably 2 hours yesterday trying to think about that verse from Flashing Lights by Kanye. "Hey mona lisa, come home you know you can't Rome without Ceasar." What a bar. Don't know why I was tripping bout it but it's chill.
Anyways I also found out my spanish is COOKED. Oh my goodness I thought I knew a little, and then I became friends with a Chilean who only speaks Spanish. He was teaching me and I could understand but wow I cannot speak back. But that's what it's about! Learning and growing and doing better daily. I am so grateful for the teachers who bring the spirit and are patient with us when teaching these principles. I also met a Samoan who teaches me phrases and he is so wholesome. He taught me "I love you" so now I can say it all of you!!
Ou te alofa ia te outou uma!
Anyways, I miss and love everyone and hope you all can feel the Lords love in your lives! This week I have been really focusing on how the Lord blessus us and how deeply he understands and cares for us. Quick verse for everyone to read.
Mosiah 2:22 says, And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments; and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you.
I know that if we follow God and do as he instructs, he blesses you and helps you. Trust in God everyone!! And EMAIL ME I want to hear abour everyones lives and experiences! LOVE YOU ALL!!!
