Vamos Madrid

3/23/26 THIS WEEK WAS SO FIRE HOLY!!!! So spiritual and amazing and just literally feeling so blessed. So funny too I could jot stop laughing all week. If you dont wanna read all of it, at least go down and read the spiritual message!!🙊😊 Highlights -7 FRIENDS AT CHURCH🥹🔥🤩 -We are the special?? -Non stop laughing -God's purpose -BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUT KIRA,BLAKE, PARKER AND CHARLIEEE🎂🥳 -Special singing time🫣 -morning runs🥶🥶 -last paragraph of mission call(go read it) -fuzzy moccasins have been used for prosalyting now -pday in central Madrid rn😛 Lowlights: -we might get slimed out... -Johnny barber did NOT get me right😭 Okay this might be a long email but SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED. We have been grinding and working so hard just trying to bring people to church. Keep in mind we meet in someone's apartment... not an actual building. But its been a huge success! 7 friends came!! One of the friends in particular is so awesome. We met him Saturday and he said he just moved to Spain a week ago with a purpose from God... and he thinks we are that purpose. Holy fire he came to church and participated and it was SO great🤑🤑 We also had a member lesson and the son who is non active said that he's met hundreds of missionaries, but we are different, and we have had a special impact on him. Wow. He and his mom started tearing up and the spirit was so strong 💪 On the way to lessons, we like to sing along the way!! We don't know all the words, but our songs for this week was "Jersey Giant" and "Starting Over"!! Such bangers miss listening to this with the real ones☝️🥹 We also started going on runs in the morning to stay on that grind. Wake up earlier and boom we're off. But man its cold... we freeze Even just thinking about lunches this week is funny. We just laugh during the lunches its so hard not to. Like during one lunch, my comp couldnt finish his food and literally was struggling so hard. And the member kept bringing out more!! And my comp would ask him questions but he's pretty deaf... so he wouldnt hear. He would ask like 3 times and just gave up. I literally was just laughing the whole time the member thought I was crazy. So so funny. After we ate, we had to sit on the couch for 15 mins after and couldnt even talk😭😭😭 so full Johnny barber bro... holy we went to this barber shop and the Venezuelans who cut us were HILARIOUS. BUT, they said IN ENGLISH, "oh missionaries. Represent Jesus good". And as soon as he said this I knew I was cooked. He cut my hair and gave me a slickback💀🥀not what I asked for but couldnt stop him. To make it worse he posted me on his story and he was like "you like cut bro"... trying not to hold back tears man it was funny. And my comp was dying laughing across the room. Rough morning. And that Elvis guy I talked about last week might need to be dropped. We didn't feel super safe/good when we taught him, and a member said she had a horrible dream about us and we need to be careful when going into non-members houses. And to listen to the prompting of the spirit. Immediately we both thought of Elvis. Gotta be careful around him who knows what'll happen... Alright spiritual message this week: To be honest, I have been pretty impatient with the spanish and I really just needed some guidance on what to do better. So I prayed and asked... and the next morning, I listened to the talk "However Long and Hard the Road" by Jeffery R. Holland. He said, "excellence does not come easily or quickly. An excellent education does not, a successful mission does not, a strong, loving marriage does not, rewarding personal relationships do not. It is simply a truism that nothing very valuable can come without significant sacrifice and effort and patience on our part." This was a direct answer to prayer. All important and valuable things in life require sacrifice. It won't always be easy, but we need to put forth effort and be patient. I've felt so blessed to have this opportunity to grow and learn more of how to be a better missionary, and future disciple of the Lord!!! Love you all, sorry for the longer email.
