Wow what is up everybody!!
Got some castles and interesting stuff in the google photos now haha! Join up
Trainer/Area
So we got here and went to the church first. Everyone was exhausted and trying not to sleep in the car, but we had stuff to do. We set up our phones and our cards so we could go out and do the work. We toured Spain and wow it's incredible. Architecture is one of a kind. We had a little breakfast thing and got to know some of the trainers! Met some goats like Elder Haney, Mcintyre, Denning, Moody. Wow literally everyone there was just so nice and so excited to do the work. When we got back to the church we sat down and one by one individually met our trainers. I was so scared and they have them wait around a corner for us. When I was called up I turn around the corner, and the legend Elder Luekenga is around the corner😆So hyped to be with him and we are opening up Ávila!!! Also our dad's served the same mission 27 years ago and knew of eachother so that's insane.
Back to opening... That means that we are the first missionaries ever here in this area! So crazy to think about. We gotta work hard to find people now and its super scary because everything is so new but I am SO STOKED!!! We were sent here because the Lord has people prepared for us🙏🙏 Avila is super pretty and its one of the few cities with a wall around it. And the wall is massive we were in awe just trying to think how it was built.
La obra/The work
Okay the work is actually so hard. The first day we didn't have an apartment(we still dont) and nothing was going right. Our hotel wasn't payed for, we didn't have our clothes. We had nothing. Literally everything was getting thrown at us, so we just decided to go out and preach. And boy oh boy Spain is tough... we walked the streets for literally 8 hours. Talking to as many people as we could, and we got 3 slightly interested in church. Just found out one n gave us a false number so 2 now. It ain't much but we blessed. Gotta keep at it. It's definetley fun but hard. The spanish is progressing but there's a lot of Venezuelans here and they speak really different its hard. Im definetely getting humbled though... really humbled. But yesterday we met with our little group for church in someone's apartment! There wasn't many, but the spirit was strong and I was so excited to work with these members. They all wanted to help us, and feed us, and would repeat how much of a blessing it is to have us here! Can't wait to do the Lords work with them!!

Spiritual thought:
ALRIGHTTT this week im gonna be honest has been HARD. Literally so hard. But it made me think back to gifts of the spirit. I thought back throughout the week of many friends and family who had gifts of the spirit that I aspired to have and there are so many!! And they are all so different. We are each different and have different ways of sharing the love of the Lord. Which is amazing!! I thought back to all the different memories and expereinces where I felt the pure love of the gospel through someones small action or gesture! Can't wait to practice these gifts and try to use them to help others!
Email me!! I want to hear about everyones wonderful lives😆 Love everyone lots hope everyone is doing good!
